AT Shoutout: Meghan Yamamoto

In the spring of 2021, Athletic Trainer, Meghan Yamamoto, onboarded with ATvantage for a contract in San Diego, California.

This was a temporary contract that fit her needs at the time and when it ended, became a direct hire through the district. The change in this contract to a district position happened at the perfect time for Meghan who was pursuing her Master's degree and needed more flexibility for her studies and a lower cost of living while she split her time between work and school.

So, ATvantage helped her relocate back to her hometown of Sacramento, California and was able to interview and place her at her alma mater, C.K. McClatchy High School.

This was a perfect fit for Meghan who wanted to be closer to her family and allowed her to return back to the place that started her journey to becoming an athletic trainer. She was first introduced to the profession while in high school so this was a win for her and a huge win for the school that previously had uncertified athletic trainers- a problem that our company ensures solving for all our clients.

We are so grateful for the value Meghan has added to this site and were ecstatic to offer her a flexible position closer to her family, exactly what she was looking for at this point in her career!

" Working with ATvantage has been such an amazing experience and I am excited to continue another year with them at my current site. ATvantage helps to ensure that their athletic trainers are getting quality treatment from the districts that they work in and that they have all the necessary tools in order to see their athletes excel in their sport. Each one of the staff at ATvantage provides the athletic trainers with a welcoming and supportive environment. Being able to work as an independent contractor has allowed me to have a flexible schedule so that I can continue my education as I work on obtaining my master’s degree online. I am very excited to be working alongside this company another year," says Meghan!

Thank you, Meghan, for your hard work and dedication! We are thankful we can offer an opportunity to support your needs and provide something that works for you and your individual path in the athletic training profession.
